What's Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy treats disease, injury, or malformations using physical methods such as massage, joint manipulation, or any other technique that isn't invasive or requiring surgery. A physiotherapist assists people suffering from injury, illness or disability through manual therapy, exercise and education as well as advice.

The key feature of physiotherapy lies in its holistic approach to well-being and treatment. physiotherapists focuses on the entire person and their general health.

The goal of physiotherapy is to help individuals stay independent and active members of society as much as possible.

Common Physiotherapy Methods

Most physiotherapy techniques are hand-on and designed to mobilize and manipulate the tissue in the body. This is a great way to relieve pain, stiffness, blood circulation and encourage movement. These are just a few of the techniques:

  • Massage for stimulation of the soft tissues

  • Soft tissue techniques like stretching and myofascial release

  • Joint mobilization and manipulation, which use the gliding of the joint to improve motion, function, and control

  • For physiotherapy instrument mobilization, (PIM), we use handcrafted instruments

  • The use of minimal energy techniques (METs), which uses muscle's energy to relax muscles by using autogenic and reciprocal inhibition. They also lengthen the muscle.

  • Osteopathy, Acupuncture, and Kinesiology
