Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Introduced

Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode (opens in new tab) wasn't the one massive reveal at this weekend's Minecon. Microsoft also used the occasion to announce a new version of Minecraft-Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. It is going to be free should you already personal the game on Computer, or $10 if you do not, and it is based on (opens in new tab)the Pocket model of the game. The beta starts on July twenty ninth.

Windows 10 Version won't boast every feature of Minecraft, at the least to start with, but Mojang say they're "aiming for feature parity" (see above hyperlink). Xbox Live and controllers will likely be supported, however won't be required, and it seems Mojang are aiming for dedicated servers further down the road. The seven-player limit mentioned beneath is because the game relies on Pocket Version. Here's the function record of Windows 10 Version as it stands now:
