How to screenshot on pc?

Newer macOS versions include an app that allows you to take screenshots. To take a screenshot, press and hold the Shift-Command and 5 keys.

Command - Shift 3 -

Shift – Command - 4

Once you've selected the area you wish to capture, you will be able to choose what to do during the process of taking the image.

Press the spacebar and release - Once you have the crosshair press the spacebar and let go. The crosshair will now be a camera icon which you can drag over any window. You will also see a white border around the image.

Hold the Shift button - Once you have highlighted an area, release the right mouse or touchpad and press the Shift button. This allows you to save the bottom edges of the selected area. To capture the bottom edge, you can move the mouse by moving it up and down.

After that is done, you can release the mouse button or touchpad and tap the Shift key again. This allows you to place the right edge. You can also cycle between the bottom edge and right edge by pressing the mouse button and tapping the shift key.

Press and hold the Space Bar - While you hold down the mouse button, press the space bar.

This allows you to resize and shape your image, as well as reposition it on the monitor. This is useful if you don't want to capture the exact image you are looking for or if you wish to remove any unnecessary items from the highlighted area of your captured image. To reposition the image according to your requirements, hold down the spacebar button and keep the mouse button pressed. Then release the button to take the perfect photo.

Shift – Command - 5

Another shortcut combination that you can use for capturing a screenshot is this. However, it is quite new and can be seen on the MacOs Mojave 2018, and afterwards.

This combo will bring up a panel from the bottom of your screen. This command will display your screen capturing options and other selection options. It also has cropping and selection icons. You can take as many screenshots as you like without pressing, holding down, or releasing any buttons.

Two video recording buttons will be visible. These allow you to record the Mac's screen as well as what you are doing. The panel will have an X button, which you can click to close it. However, you can also tap the escape key on your keyboard.

You will find an option button on the right-hand side of your screen. This allows you to choose where your screenshots should be saved.
