Minecraft Getting Ingame Name Changes Pocket Edition Sells 30 Million

Minecraft players will be able to alter their name in the game soon as the developer studio Mojang has announced. The process will begin on February 4th, and is quite easy. Just Another Wordpress Site Once the name-changing system is implemented players will be able to alter their names in the game by logging in to their account. Any name that isn't being used by another player will be available, but players will have wait for 30 days before they can change again.



There's no need to be concerned about someone else taking your name. It takes about 37 days for a name that was previously used to be available to someone. If you want to change your name to "MinecraftMasta" you could not use MinecraftMasta before you could claim it. You aren't able to change your inventory or character by changing your name. If you are blocked by someone, you won't be able to bypass that block.



Mojang also said that, to date, Minecraft: Pocket Edition has sold a total of more than 30 million copies. Pocket Edition sold 21 million copies in April before being extended to Windows Phone users in December. Mojang hasn't revealed the amount of new sales, however Mojang did state that Pocket Edition had sold 9 million more copies due to its launch on a new platform. [Image: Mojang]
