An easy way I've found to let my associates hook up with my Minecraft server, which is working alone machine is to use a free device referred to as ngrok to expose my server to the web.



1) Obtain ngrok from http://www.ngrok.com. You will have to signup for a free account as well, and comply with their setup directions.



2) Begin your Minecraft server



3) To share your local Minecraft server, run the next in a terminal:



4) It will show some info, with a line like the following:



Write down the quantity that's where the XXXXX is above.



5) Your server is now accessible on the web! Is it tho But how do your friends connect to it?



6) Tell your friends to start out Minecraft, then



- click "Multiplayer"- click on "Direct Join"Fill in the following, changing XXXXX the number you wrote down in step 4)

7) They should now be connected to your Minecraft server!



TROUBLESHOOTING: Be aware - if it would not work, then as a substitute of "Direct Join", add it as a server by selecting "Add Server", then provide ngrok.com:XXXXX. Then just connect to the server that manner as an alternative!
